I am so tickled! My psychiatrist is "happy" to resume my psychiatric care, and will accomodate my request to see me at insured rates, that's what she's referring to below when she says to ask the ladies at the front desk about the current pay rates.
I had emailed her about my current recent suicidal ideation and how it had not been passing, and a very few things that my psychologist had to say about it, and having been on the edge of hospitalization for a few weeks. As well, that for the past 3-4 months, well basically since a month or so before stopping seeing her, when there was no more time to try more anti-depressants because the insurance was running out, that the depression had just been worsening. I did keep it as brief as possible; about as brief as what I've typed here, or less, since an email isn't appropriate to go in-depth. I briefly explained as well about my church being willing to pay if certain payment circumstances could be worked out.
Anyway, the wording of her reply makes me happy, because, well, I guess it just reinforces that therapeutic bond, that it's still there, that she remembers me, that I'm not just a file . . . it was a warm response. It's just . . .nice to know that she is happy to resume my psychiatric care, as she says. I don't know why that makes me so happy, but it does. Below is what she said. Names removed.
Hi, Sara,
Of course I'd be happy to resume your psychiatric care, and waive the $ 10 fee. Just call the front desk and get an appt from ***** or *****. They can tell you what the current pay rates are.
See you,
(Psychiatrist's Name)
