And all the itching! I can't seem to take the Benadryl consistently, but on the days I do, it doesn't get rid of the rash, even a couple days in a row of taking it consistently. It just makes it feel not sandpapery, at best. And stops the all-over not constant but there in the background itchiness.
So I've emailed the psychiatrist, telling her about it and that I've not bumped up from 200mg like I was supposed to Tuesday because I've had this rash over a week now and it's not going away. I was never told what to do in THIS situation, just if the benign rash happened to take benadryl for it.
Is this another medication down the tubes? I guess I'll wait and hear from her; I don't want a permanent rash on my chest, sometimes neck, and maybe face (I have extra redness on my face but where it fades I see some speckled splashes of rash, I think.) Besides, I can't afford to buy Benadryl three or four times a month. If long-term use of it was even a good idea, which I can't know.
